After 170 F1 Grand Prix races,
Jenson Button has won the Formula One World Championships. Button went from Williams to Benetton to Renault and then to B.A.R, which became Honda and finally Brawn Racing. He is now World Champion. The title was clinched in Brazil this weekend as he scored enough points to out distance his teammate
Rubens Barachello and the Red Bull team with one race to go in the 2009 season. Button has had a great season with the Brawn Racing team after a winter when the life of the team was in question. Honda decided last winter to exit the sport and Ross Brawn scrambled to put together what proved to be the winning combination - Mercedes engines and a car that won six races out of the first seven. Consistent finishes after that great start led to the World Championship. This is a great story and we have not seen the end of this adventure. In 2010, Brawn will come back even stronger. The one race left in the series will be run in Abu Dhabi in two weeks on a brand new circuit. Watch it on Speed.
