Trucks Gamble in Vegas

Johnny Sauter drove his ThorSports Truck to victory lane and scored his first career victory Saturday in the Camping World Truck Series race, just ahead of teammate Matt Crafton at the Las Vegas 350. Sauter, a rookie in the Trucks who has three wins in the Nationwide Series, passed Crafton for the lead on the outside exiting Turn 2 on the 130th of 146 laps and drove away for the win. ThorSports is a Safety-Kleen sponsored team and with the second place finish Crafton cut 20 points from leader Ron Hornaday, but still trails by 197 with five races remaining. Hornaday, who drives for Kevin Harvick Racing, finished sixth. Jason White finished third, a career-best in the series. Todd Bodine was fourth and Timothy Peters fifth. Dave Huntsman and the Safety-Kleen crew from the N. Las Vegas branch were on hand for the exciting race on Saturday evening.
