David Ragan battled with his teammate
Carl Edwards in the closing laps of the Nationwide race at Bristol and when the checkered flag flew on Friday night, he claimed his second career win in the Nationwide Series. Ragan started the event in 9th and drove a great race outracing Edwards in the green white checkered finish. Edwards' second place finish allowed him to move up closer to series points leader Busch. Kyle had a bad night as he was in the wrong place at the wrong time early in the race, when rookie
Chase Austin turned down in front of Busch and wrecked the leader - Busch ended up finishing in 28th place.
Safety-Kleen's Kevin Harvick seemed to have the car to beat early on, but at the end, he finished fourth as Ragan, Edwards and Keselowski passed him.
Matt Kenseth was in the mix all night and rounded out the top five. The battle for the championship tightened up slightly due to Busch's wreck, but it would take a miracle for Edwards to make up the 248 point margin.
Safety-Kleen's Brad Keselowski, another
Safety-Kleen driver, ranks third in year end points - only 55 behind Edwards. The Nationwide cars travel this week to Montreal to race next Sunday afternoon north of the border.
