The Penske Racing Indy Car team is based in Mooresville, North Carolina. This past weekend, they traveled north of the border to Canada to race at the Edmonton Grand Prix. The team came ready to compete. On Saturday, they qualified 1-2-3 and on Sunday, they almost pulled off the 1-2-3 finish. Will Power won the pole and went wire to wire to take the win just ahead of teammate Helio Castroneves in second. Scott Dixon, driving for Chip Ganassi, came home in third and Ryan Briscoe in the third Penske entry was fourth. The Edmonton race is run on the downtown airport which makes handling the secret to success. If your car can take the hard pounding of the road and the tight turns, you will win. The Penske cars won the set up battle and took Safety-Kleen to victory lane. Dixon's third place allowed him to return to the points lead ahead of his teammate Dario Franchitti who finished fifth. Jeff Huston from the Nisku branch coordinated the SK services for the teams this weekend and did a great job. The next race for the Indy Car Series is at the Kentucky Speedway next weekend.
