The NHRA visited the Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California to taste the wine and run the third race of the Western Swing this weekend. In Top Fuel, Antron Brown made history as he became the eighth driver to sweep all three races in the annual NHRA Western Swing. Brown won by defeating Cory McClenathan in a close final round contest, 3.99 to 4.00. Brown has now claimed five wins in eight final rounds this season, the best record among Top Fuel racers. In Funny Car, Tim Wilkerson continues his winning ways as he took down Tony Pedregon in a close battle where both drivers began to lose traction. Wilkerson drove by Pedregon for a 4.24 to 4.32 victory. The Pro Stock was an all Safety-Kleen final with Jason Line against teammate Greg Anderson. Line celebrated his 40th birthday on Friday and on Sunday, he gave himself a big present as he won his 19th career Pro Stock victory with a 6.939 to 6.932 holeshot win over Anderson. Thanks to Rick, Brandon, Bryan and Dan from the Rohnert Park branch for all the work at Infineon. The next event for the NHRA teams is in Brainard, MN in two weeks. The Countdown to One for the Championship is shaping up. The heat is on to make the Top Ten. Stay tuned.
