Busch Wins as Harvick Runs Out of Gas in St. Louis

Kyle Busch used his weekend off from the Sprint Cup Series to travel to St. Louis and win for the sixth time in the NASCAR Nationwide Series on Saturday night at the Gateway International Raceway. The win was presented to Busch "on a silver platter" when Safety-Kleen's Kevin Harvick ran out of gas and gave away the race. However, Busch was "a bit crafty" to set the stage for the win when he ducked into the pits for fuel during a caution and left Harvick on the track about mid-way in the event. That put Harvick out of step with Busch. As the race progressed, Harvick was forced to stay on the track until his gas tank was dry. Jason Leffler, another Safety-Kleen driver, then took the lead, but he also ran out of luck when he pitted just before a caution and he went a lap down. Sprint Cup regular Carl Edwards ran wide open all night, but came up short again as he battled with Reed Sorenson late in the race. Sorenson was able to hold off the charge and was second at the checkered flag with Edwards in third, followed by Mike Bliss, Brad Coleman and Safety-Kleen's RCR driver Stephen Leicht. The Safety-Kleen Caseyville facility crew members were on hand this weekend at Gateway servicing the teams and entertaining the area SK customers. Rich Jackson, Tim and Bob did a great job.
