Antron Brown scored his sixth career
NHRA Top Fuel win and fourth of the season by beating Tony Schumacher for the second time at the drag strip in Kent, Washington just south of Seattle on Sunday. Brown won by a close 3.985 to 3.99 decision to collect the win and increase his points lead to 137. In Funny Car, it was Tim Wilkerson who came into the event with three straight first round losses and hadn't been to a final round since last October. But on Sunday, it was his day as he got the victory by defeating low qualifier Tony Pedregon in the final round, 4.21 to 4.28, taking his 12th career win. In Pro Stock, MIke Edwards beat Safety-Kleen's Jason Line and finally won after suffering defeat in the last four final-round appearances and scored his third of the year, the 18th of his Pro Stock career and his 20th overall. Edwards beat Line with a 6.58, 211.03 to 6.601, 210 victory. The NHRA will travel south on Interstate 5 to Infineon Raceway next weekend.
