Bowyer First on Friday Night

Clint Bowyer claimed his first Nationwide Series win of the season on Friday night at Daytona International Speedway. Bowyer, who started from pole in his Safety-Kleen sponsored Chevy, fought hard all night. With six laps remaining, a caution came out to set up a wild finish. The green flag waved with two laps to go. Bowyer got a push from Edwards down the back stretch and was able to stay ahead of Kyle Busch, Joey Lagano and Brad Keselowski. As the field came to the white flag, Busch and Lagano were in great position to charge to the front. Then a caution came out and the field was frozen. Bowyer won with Busch in second followed by Carl Edwards, Joey Logano and Kasey Kahne rounding out the top-five ahead of Safety-Kleen's Brad Keselowski, Brian Vickers and the Safety-Kleen sponsored Penske rookie Justin Allgaier. Kyle Busch continues to lead the championship with 172 points over Edwards, while Keselowski is in third as the teams head for Chicago next week.
